TVT win UKTV contract

TVT has won the contract to provide compliance for UKTV.
TVT will provide an end to end versioning, compliance and meta data service for the majority of UKTV's broadcast and VoD material both in SD and HD. The contract will run for 3 years.

UKTV's Head of Regulatory Affairs, Ray Blaney said, "UKTV launched a competitive ITT process back in 2009, with the ambition of finding a long term partner who would support our ambitions of delivering a first class compliance and versioning service across our network.

Compliance is an essential part of what UKTV stand for and the protection of our editorial standards is paramount.

We chose TVT after an exhaustive process, and the recurring theme for all involved in the selection was that this was a company that we wanted to do business with.

TVT are an ambitious and forward thinking business, one that does not rest on its reputation or history, rather it offers innovative technology led solutions to traditional processes. They pride themselves on their superior customer relationship ethos and believe in working in partnership, rather than in a distant supplier relationship."

Pivotal to TVT's bid was the promise to build a brand new facility exclusively for UKTV's compliance team, streamlining a department that was previously spread across three contracts.

UKTV will utilise TVT's in-house compliance system already used successfully by BBC's Worldwide Compliance team.

TVT's COO, Jake Robbins,

"UKTV are an excellent addition to our client portfolio, they have big plans for the future and working together we can bring them to fruition "

TVT's new premises, situated on the corner of Chiswick Park is now complete. In addition to office and meeting space it has 5 FCP suites and is capable of ingest, archive, transcode and file delivery.
